FirstQFM contributes feedback to the EU Quantum Act.

FirstQFM submitted feedback to the European Commission as it prepares the EU Quantum Act, an initiative focused on accelerating quantum research, strengthening industrial capacity, and supporting critical quantum supply chains across Europe.
Our contribution focused on areas that matter for companies building at the intersection of AI and quantum computing. AI-for-quantum research requires access to both quantum hardware and GPU-intensive compute environments, and broader availability across Member States will be important for start-ups and SMEs.
FirstQFM also emphasized the need for stronger coordination across the quantum stack in Europe. Building a competitive quantum ecosystem will require closer collaboration between hardware developers, software companies, research institutions, infrastructure providers, and end users.
Finally, we highlighted the importance of financial and regulatory alignment across the EU. A more consistent operating environment would reduce friction for emerging quantum companies working across borders and help Europe scale more of its quantum technologies into globally competitive businesses.
